I find that I do not have one “Main Focus” in photography, but many. Just when I start to get comfortable with one genre of photography another one catch’s my attention and I start another journey down a different “rabbit hole”. Below are some of my interests, but not my only ones. I’m sure my interests will expand as time goes on.
Landscape Photography
The Road to Redemption
Looking towards Mt Langley from a lonely little ranch road in Lone Pine California.
Astrophotography
Field of Stars
The dry grass surround an old wooden fence as it stretch’s out towards the Milky Way in the San Diego Cuyamaca Mountains.
Celestial Loner
The Milky Way rising up behind the lone tree at White Pocket. This time with the foreground well lit.
A River of Light
The Milky Way rising up behind the Watchman in Zion National Park as seen from the junction bridge.
Waterscapes
Morning Showers
High tides give the surf shack a soaking during sunrise at Windansea in La Jolla, San Diego.
Wildlife
Playing with your food.
A Great Egret with a pipefish in its beak while it was fishing in the San Diego River. I never knew about pipefish until I started photographing birds down by the San Diego River. The pipefish seems to be a common fish that birds hunt for down there among the eel grass.
Natures Rock Climber
A Mountain Goat traipsing through the wildflowers above Hidden Lake in Glacier National Park
A Sip and a Dip
A Moose and Her Calf enjoying a dip and a sip of water around Glacier National Park in Montana.
The Chase
A Reddish Egret chasing away a Little Blue Heron from its territory in the San Diego River.
Drone Photography
Seeing Double
The holiday lights adorn Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach with a Christmas Tree at the end of the pier. In the background you can see the San Diego City Skyline along with the lights from the Coronado Bridge. To top it off the 320 foot tall Skytower at Sea World is decorated as Christmas Tree.
