I have always loved taking pictures, I remember having a small pocket film camera when I was quite young, and throughout the years I have always bought new cameras as the technology changed, but I don’t think my true love of photography developed until much latter in my life. It started with my hiking web site IHikeSanDiego.com, I started my hiking web site to provide a place for people to get a comprehensive guide to hiking in the San Diego region. The more I worked on my web site and the more pictures I took for the web site the more I wanted a better quality of photos to use for my site. So one day a few years ago I had a little money drop in my lap and I had a choice ( get a good camera, or get a drone ), I am glad I went with the camera, it has changed my view of the world.

My goal with this site is not to provide expert advice on camera equipment or how to get better pictures, I’m certainly far from an expert in this area, I may have ideas on these subjects but my of knowledge on these subjects is something that I have garnered from the wealth of knowledge already out there from all the “experts” that spend far more time perfecting themselves in these areas. I’m putting together this site to document the trips ( adventures ) I take for photography, so that the readers may learn from my triumph’s and failures. I may add what equipment I use and why, and or what processing techniques I use to get to my end result, but do not take what I say as photographic scripture, its just my experience and if someone finds the information useful and learns from it, then all the better.
